MC Donald Menu to have new additions

The highly anticipated return of the Shamrock Shake is just around the corner. McDonald’s, known for its annual introduction of the mint-flavored, green-tinted shake, has officially announced that the Shamrock Shake will be making its comeback starting Monday, February 5. This limited-time offering will be available at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide, while supplies last.

Unlike the previous year when the Shamrock Shake made its return on February 20, this year, fans of the iconic shake will be able to enjoy it more than two weeks earlier. The anticipation for the Shamrock Shake is a yearly tradition, and McDonald’s enthusiasts eagerly await its arrival.

Accompanying the Shamrock Shake on the limited-time menu is the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, which is priced at about $4 (individual restaurant prices may vary). The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry features the classic Shamrock Shake blended with crushed Oreo cookies, creating a delightful and indulgent treat. This McFlurry variant was introduced in February 2020 as part of the celebration of the Shamrock Shake’s 50th anniversary.

The Shamrock Shake, first introduced in 1970, has become a beloved seasonal offering for McDonald’s patrons. Comprising vanilla soft-serve ice cream, artificially flavored minty green syrup, and a generous topping of whipped cream, the Shamrock Shake is available in various sizes, with prices typically ranging from $3 to $4.

For those mindful of their calorie intake, a medium-sized Shamrock Shake contains 540 calories. Comparatively, a medium vanilla shake has 570 calories, while a medium chocolate shake has 650 calories. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, a delightful twist on the classic McFlurry, has 560 calories, slightly more than the regular Oreo McFlurry, which stands at 510 calories.

The Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry have gained popularity as limited-time desserts, attracting customers eager to indulge in the festive and flavorful offerings.

In addition to these sweet treats, McDonald’s is still featuring the Double Big Mac at most locations. Introduced on January 24, the Double Big Mac is part of McDonald’s limited-time menu. This heartier version of the classic Big Mac includes four all-beef patties, double the usual amount, accompanied by extra Big Mac sauce, pickles, lettuce, and chopped onions. While the Double Big Mac doesn’t double the cheese, it does offer a more substantial and satisfying option for burger enthusiasts. With a calorie count of 780, it provides a heartier alternative to the traditional Big Mac, which has 590 calories.

McDonald’s continues to cater to the varied tastes of its customers, offering both classic favorites and innovative limited-time items. Whether it’s the return of the Shamrock Shake or the introduction of the Double Big Mac, McDonald’s keeps its menu exciting and ever-evolving to satisfy the cravings of its diverse customer base. As fans eagerly await the return of the Shamrock Shake, the golden arches remain a beacon for those seeking a taste of nostalgia and new culinary experiences alike.
