T.I. and Tiny Harris Reportedly Sued for Sexual Assault Over Alleged 2005 Incident at LA Hotel

T.I. and Wife Tiny Divorce

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris find themselves entangled in a new civil lawsuit, with a woman identified as Jane Doe alleging that the couple drugged and sexually assaulted her in a Los Angeles hotel room back in 2005. The civil suit, filed on Tuesday in a Los Angeles court, has brought forth disturbing claims of non-consensual acts and intoxication.

According to reports from Billboard and Rolling Stone, the woman asserts that she encountered T.I. and Tiny in the VIP section of a nightclub, leading to the alleged assault. The accuser contends that she was given a spiked drink and subsequently taken to their hotel room, where she claims they “forced her to get naked” and subjected her to sexual assault.

The woman explicitly states that she did not consent to any of the reported misconduct and emphasizes her inability to provide consent due to being drugged by T.I., 43, and Tiny, 48.

In response to the serious allegations, T.I., born Clifford Harris, and Tiny, born Tameka Cottle, vehemently deny the claims. They characterize the accusations as “fake” and suggest that the lawsuit amounts to “extortionate demands.” In a statement provided , the couple addresses the timing of the lawsuit, alleging that the plaintiff had been threatening to file the lawsuit for three years.

The statement reads, “For THREE years, we have emphatically and categorically denied these allegations. For THREE years we have maintained our innocence and refused to pay these extortionate demands for things we didn’t do. We are innocent of these fake claims, we will not be shaken down, and we look forward to our day in court.”

This legal action follows a similar pattern of accusations against the couple, aligning with a reported 2021 police investigation into a 2005 incident. The New York Times had previously covered a police investigation involving a military veteran who claimed that T.I. and Tiny had assaulted her in a hotel room after she was allegedly drugged during an encounter in the VIP section of an LA club.

The recent lawsuit is filed under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, which allows for civil suits in cases of sexual assault that surpass the statute of limitations. This act extends the filing window through the end of 2023, with an extension to the end of 2026 for assaults occurring since 2009.

Notably, the accusations against T.I. and Tiny have intensified over the years, with over a dozen women coming forward in 2021. The allegations include claims of drugging, sex trafficking, and rape. The recent lawsuit, filed under the Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, underscores the legal complexities surrounding these allegations and the extended window for victims to seek justice.

The lawsuit details disturbing events, alleging that the woman was introduced to T.I. and Tiny by an associate named “Caviar” and that she was offered a drink by Tiny, after which she felt dizzy and eventually passed out. The suit further describes the woman being taken to a hotel, directed to take a shower, and subsequently subjected to non-consensual acts by T.I. and Tiny.

This legal development adds another layer to the ongoing legal battles for T.I. and Tiny, who have consistently denied any wrongdoing. As the legal proceedings unfold, the couple faces the challenging task of defending themselves against serious allegations that have persisted over an extended period.
