In his initial team meeting for the new year, Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders set clear expectations for his players, emphasizing respect for women, punctuality, and adherence to team rules, as reported by Reach The People Media, a favored YouTube channel. Sanders explicitly addressed issues such as disrespect, spitting on the turf, smoking, vaping, and tardiness, making it clear that these behaviors would not be tolerated within the team.
However, two notable players, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders, both sons of Coach Sanders, were conspicuously absent from the team meeting. The reason behind their absence was revealed as they had flown to Paris to participate in the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 Show as fashion models.
The Sanders brothers, Shedeur and Shilo, took to the runway in Paris with the approval of their father-coach. The trip and the runway appearance were arranged by Constance Schwartz-Morini, Sanders’ business manager and the manager of endorsement deals for Shedeur and Shilo at SMAC Entertainment in Los Angeles.
Before the fashion show, Shedeur and Shilo had the opportunity to meet with singer Pharrell Williams, who serves as the men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton. During their interaction, the brothers expressed their desire to be multidimensional and not solely defined by their football careers.
“We want to be multidimensional,” Shilo Sanders conveyed to Williams, documented by Deion Sanders’ other son, Deion Jr. “We don’t want to be just football.”
Williams responded by encouraging the brothers to embrace their multifaceted identities. Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes, affirmed to Williams that modeling for Louis Vuitton was a dream come true. Williams also offered advice, suggesting they use language like “I am multi-dimensional” to convey their diverse talents.
In a lighthearted moment, Shedeur teased his brother Shilo about his fashion choices while shopping in Paris. Shedeur sported a distinctive ensemble, including a large black and white puffy jacket, black Gucci pants, Cartier bracelets, his signature iced-out watch, and a rectangular box bag that Shilo humorously likened to a purse.
Despite missing the team meeting, Shedeur Sanders, who is recovering from a back injury, expressed excitement about his first visit to Paris. With spring-semester classes at Colorado starting on Tuesday, Shedeur had the opportunity to fly to Paris before the commencement of classes.
The Sanders brothers brought their own Louis Vuitton luggage to Paris, aligning with their father’s symbolic gesture when he first introduced himself as Colorado’s coach. Deion Sanders had used the metaphor of bringing his own Louis Vuitton luggage to signify his plans to elevate the team’s talent.
Shedeur Sanders, in particular, clarified on social media platform X that he has no intentions of leaving school early for the NFL draft and is committed to returning to Colorado in 2024. The Colorado Buffaloes, under Coach Sanders’ leadership, are gearing up for the upcoming season, scheduled to kick off on August 31 against North Dakota State after finishing 4-8 in the 2023 season.
