Jeremy Renner, the 52-year-old star of “Avengers,” is expressing gratitude as he commemorates the one-year anniversary of a life-altering snowplow accident on New Year’s Day. The actor has undergone a remarkable recovery in the 12 months since he was crushed by his 14,000-pound snowplow while attempting to free his nephew’s car from deep snow in Nevada. The near-fatal incident left Renner with over 30 broken bones, a collapsed lung, and a pierced liver.

Reflecting on the harrowing experience, Renner expressed, “I feel blessed that I had so many things to live for.” He acknowledged his extensive family and a 10-year-old daughter, stating, “I would have disappointed and really messed up a lot of people’s lives if I had passed. So there’s a lot for me to get better for. I’m also pretty stubborn, and there’s a lot for me to fight for.”

Despite the challenges, Renner is gearing up for a significant milestone on New Year’s Day—a new music single release. He teased the upcoming release with cover art depicting him seated on a dock alongside his 10-year-old daughter, Ava Berlin Renner. Renner shared that making music has always been cathartic and healing for him, emphasizing that the upcoming single is a narrative of the life, death, and recovery experienced over the past year—a kind of journal entry that has been wonderfully healing.

Renner also hinted at his return to the Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown” for Season 3, sharing an Instagram Story from co-star Emma Laird. The British actress expressed excitement about reuniting with Renner, writing, “Back with my favorite guy next week.” Renner confirmed his return during an appearance on “New Year’s Eve Live” with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, stating, “I think I’m ready, I think I’m strong enough.”

In November, Renner provided fans with an update on the extensive physical recovery work he has been undergoing. He detailed his exploration of various therapies since January 14th, including physical therapy, peptide injections, IV drips, stem cell and exosome treatments, red-light and infrared therapy, hyperbaric chamber sessions, cold plunges, and more. Renner emphasized that while these therapies are crucial, his greatest therapy has been his mind and the determination to recover and be better. He considers it his duty not to squander his spared life but to give back to his family, friends, and supporters who have empowered him to endure.

Renner has been signing his Instagram posts with the hashtag #loveandtitanium, which is also the title of his upcoming album. Throughout the challenging journey of recovery, Jeremy Renner remains resilient, grateful, and focused on both personal and professional milestones, marking a significant chapter in his life as he continues to inspire and connect with his audience.
